Beds
Fido won’t sleep very comfortably on a thin mattress. Make sure he has a comfy doggy bed, where he can curl up and dream about chasing squirrels. We recommend orthopedic beds for older pooches, because of the extra support they offer.
Exercise
Your canine buddy will naturally slow down as he ages. However, he’ll still need some activity to stay healthy, even if it’s just a daily walk. Let Fido pick the pace, and take him in when he starts to look tired

Weather
Fido will be much more sensitive to temperature extremes than he used to be. Take extra care when it’s really hot or cold out.

Fido will benefit from more frequent appointments in his golden years. At home, watch for signs of illness. Call your vet immediately if you notice anything wrong. The sooner an issue is caught and treated, the better!
